Class 9/08-Project #3

Here's my 3rd project. It's a gift card holder. I love the softness of it. I used a roller wheel inked with Pink Pirouette. I love that I'm using my Pretties! The embellishment was inspired by my upline, Lisa Curcio at our Convention Kick Off Party. She and Cindy Baughman really spoil us. We got so many goodies!!! One was a cake box and it had this exact (yes, I copy and share EVERYTHING!) embellishment on it. SO pretty, isn't it?

Here's the inside. I made a little card to hold the gift card which slips into the little pocket in the inside of this gift holder. I just LOVE gift card holders!

Class 9/08-Project #2

Here's my second project...totally cased from Shari Dudek's card I got from Convention. I love it that I have real live samples to copy from! She did a wonderful job, in fact, she had more details that I opted not to do because I was trying to keep it simpler. She embossed her bamboo, she also had a gold brad in the upper left corner of the upper left square. This card is outstanding. Love the design and the colors. Just had to copy...couldn't make it any better unless I did everything exactly as she did!

Class 9/08-Project #1

Oh my, time flies. I haven't posted in a month already! I'm a very bad blogger! Life is too busy and hectic to remember to blog. BUT once I do, I love it!

Here's the first card. Using the in-colors; pink pirouette and riding hood red layered over white, I really love the 3 images in a row layout! I also LOVE the NEW scallop punches we now carry! What a fun and lovely embellishment to our cards! Now, for the other 2 cards...

Open House

Hi everyone!

I think I’m ready to announce my Open House! I just found out my SU catalogs had been delivered (8/7!!!) but to who, I don’t know! They’ve re-shipped them and I should be getting them in a few days. SO…I will be all set to host you BY {drumrolll} Sunday, September 14 at 2 PM. PLEASE be sure to email me your rsvp BY 9/1! If you do, you’ll get something special made just for you! You are welcome to bring your friends (just let me know so I can prepare my supplies) and you’ll get another special something as well as the friends you bring. If Saturday works better for you and there is enough interest, I will be adding another Open House the day before at 10 AM.

I’ll have some really cool projects for you to do! Looking forward to hearing from you! I can’t tell you how EXCITED I am about this new catalog and all the new things Stampin’ Up is doing for all of us!!!!!

Class 8/08-Project #2

This card was inspired by different things. I came across a blog that used the 5-petal punch to create the flower. The card itself was inspired by a wonderful card made by a wonderful stamper in my sideline, Jill. I will post more info as I find them.

This card uses Barely Banana, Kiwi Kiss and Pretty in Pink.

Class 8/08-Project #3

The last card, inspired by what we did at Convention, using the set "Inspired by Nature" in Kiwi Kiss and White Craft Ink. Such a simple but beautiful card, wouldn't you agree? Love it, it only took 3 minutes to complete this card!

Class 8/08-Project #1

This is such a nice and sweet card. I need to be better at keeping record of where my inspiration comes from. I sent an email with all the stamp sets that are on sale till 9/30 and the inspiration of this card is in that email. Now, to go look for it so I can give proper credit! Anyways, I'm using the current In-Colors...aren't they bootiful?!!!! I love the blue (baja breeze...SU comes up with such CUTE names!), the green (new In-Color: Kiwi Kiss and ever popular: Certainly Celery) using one of those sets ON SALE: Eastern Blooms! AND the new scallop punch that saves us mega time in making those wonderful edgings!

Class 7/08-Project #2

Oh my, I didn't realize I never did take photos of the insides of my projects. I will need to post that!

This project was inspired by Patty Bennett's husband. He created swaps for their last cruise. It's a simple, very cool fold card.

I used retired (they ALL got retired!!!) dsp, retired pomegranate c/s and retired doodle this stamp set.

Class 7/08-Project #1

Using Blue Bayou, River Rock and Cool Carribbean, I created this card. Another retired accessory...the rough wheel (I miss them all!) created a cool background. Love wheels!

Class 5/08-Project #2

This was inspired by cd holder project. I ended up creating pockets you could use as holders for a photo or scrapbook journal square, a gift card or whatever you like.

This was one of the projects we did for our May class...double pocket card. Love the use of DSP and retired In-colors. (sniff) I sure do miss those In-colors!

I'm back

Hi everyone!
I am SO bad...I haven't posted for a LONG time! Well, I'm back. Hope I can share some inspiration here! So much to go around, especially if you check all the blogs out there. Some are so wonderful to share their tips and step by step instructions. I'll probably share my projects but direct you to the blogs that have all that info. No use re-invent the wheel, huh?!!!

Class 3/08-Project #3

Another gift card holder. Inspired by Jennifer's shoebox project, I cased her idea with a few changes. I used the word punch instead of a circle punch. Used DSP instead of a strip of c/s. I'll look for the original card so you can see. LOVE the idea! THANKS, Jennifer!

Jeepers...the color is UGLY! It's actually chocolate chip and teal! I'll try to post a better picture laters.

Class 3/08-Project #2

Inspired by Kristina's SAB swap, I took the same concept of punched dots and colors (LOVE those colors!!!) and CASED her card. She suggested the blue taffeta...ain't it CUTE?!!!! Thanks, Kristina, for your inspiration!

Class for March 2008-Project 1

Here's the first project of three. It's a gift card holder. The dimensions are 3 1/4" x 4 1/4". Here's the inside of the gift card holder. Quick and easy!

Photography 101

It's been a blessing to be able to share my projects with others, especially through the use of photos. I've been reading up from other's blogs on the "best" way to capture images of their work. It goes back to personal preference. I like the black background because the projects "pop" but the white does do a good job of looking "clean". I guess I'll be doing both and seeing how they look and deciding as I keep doing this "blog" thing.

My Open House-Project #2

Here's the 2nd project. Inspired by a fellow demonstrator's card, I used some pink leftover c/s to make a matchbox card. Great for favors or holding a gift card, it was a fairly simple project. We used the crop-a-dile, coluzzle, circle and scallop punch. Lots of tools for one simple card. Everyone loved it too, though since it didn't take too long to make something SO cute!

My Open House 3/2/08-project 1

Here's a project we made at my open house this weekend. Learned it first at another demo'r, Jennifer. As I was perusing my favorite blogs, I came across the person who originated the idea. I don't have her original post but this is her blog address...make sure you got LOTS of time, you'll be on there for hours! She has a LOT of cool stuff!http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

Because SU retired lots of my cute background stamps, I resorted to using a retired background stamp (VERY old!) for my background. Not as cute as stars but it gave everyone the idea. They loved the scalloped punch and circle punch for the trim. My favorite SAB set "So Many Scallops" was highlighted in this project.

Here's a class a good friend of mine, Kristina, did in October 2007. She has such great ideas!

Looking to doing more uploading and sharing as I maneuver around with this new "blogging" thing!

New year, new start , new ideas...

Well, do you suppose I ought to be doing something about this blogging thing? I even forgot I'd started it! I have been reading lots of blogs (stamping) lately and I guess what impressed me was the amount of sharing going on so I was ready to start a new blog and it said I already had one. I do?!!! Yup, I do! Way back in March, I signed up but never did anything with it. Sounds familiar! Like a lot of things in my life, I start things but don't carry it through. Maybe it's something I can change...new year, new start, new ideas. I really need God to help carry me through. I've been noticing I forget things more lately. So I'm going to really try hard to follow up with the things I commit to. Let my yes be yes and my no's be no's.
