The Management

Guest at Chef Paul's classroom

I got invited to grab some shots at Chef Paul's class at Farrington. He hosted a pastry chef from Hale Koa. Who would ever imagine you could do such fun stuff with chocolate?!!!! He originally had thought to do white chocolate and color it different colors but with all the hotels gearing up for Easter, it was impossible to find!
Here's what I got...
The kids had a lot of fun...what a great opportunity to learn from people who do this for a living!

Today is Good Friday

Today is Good Friday. We have plans to go to service tonight at 7 PM. It's been rainy and dreary all day. I didn't expect rain and we have...

TRAFFIC! I don't like driving in traffic! I thought today was a holiday...guess not!
May God bless you and keep you safe this Easter weekend...remember,
He loves you!

Another cutie patootie!

Went to visit my good friend's house...anytime I'm there, I usually bring along my camera as she's a mover and shaker in terms of awesome card designs. I also LOVE taking photos of her baby, Misha. Check this cutie out!

Orchid Show "Symphony of Orchids"

Guess it was a pretty busy weekend. After a photo class on Saturday, my sis and I went to Kaneohe to check out the orchid show. I don't know much about orchids (I'm a brown thumb, not green!) so I didn't realize that they have different clubs all over the island. This one was hosted by the Windward club. They sure do spend a lot of time in making sure the presentation is just so. It was fabulous!

Kailua Beach

We spent the day at Kailua Beach...when was the last time YOU'D been there?!!!

SO relaxing...looking at the landscape and how much it's changed, watching the kids, hanging out and doing nothing. It's been awhile...

Animal shots

I love dogs! Only problem, they usually don't pose or keep still. Amazingly, this one did. Marley...isn't she CUTE?!!!!

Feeding the Homeless Ministry

I've been meaning to get more of my images on here...all good intentions that amount to nothing unless it's done! I finally said to myself, today is the day!!!! That's all it takes...just got to be intentional about it! Instead of telling myself, "I should've", I need to tell myself, "I will" and it gets done! Yay! Feels so liberating to do that!

This particular ministry takes place at Ala Moana Beach once a week on Tuesday mornings, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. They do worship, a short message, prayer and then they feed them. What a great ministry...not only to feed the physical body but also the spiritual. It was a blessing to be there...I want to visit again...SOON!

It is so touching...they develop great relationships with the people who come out.
This particular guy just found out he has cancer. He has but a few months to live. The ministry is trying to raise money to get his family out here to be with him.

One more post re: Foster Botanical Garden

This tree was just SO huge...you can see the comparison in size to someone 5'7"! Upon entering the Garden, they give you this booklet that lists all the trees and shrubs there. This is called a "Baobab". The description reads: In dry parts of Centeral Africa, the Baobab tree is prized for its many products: mucilage, gum, fiber for rope, paper and cloth. Bark and oil from the seeds have medicinal properties. Old hollow trunks are sometimes used as houses, prisons and water reservoirs. Yep...it IS huge!

Foster Botanical Garden

Located in the middle of town, we did a field trip for our basic photo class. I didn't follow instructions, I was too in awe over all the plants and trees exhibited there. Check these out...

It cost $3 to get in. I wish I could've stayed longer and as "tight" as I am, it wasn't because it cost $3 (which is defintely reasonable) but there was SO much to capture! SO fun! Definitely worthwhile to invest in an Annual Family Pass for only $25!

Blogging...what are my bad habits?

I'm going to share some bad habits of mine in hopes that it'll serve as an impetus for getting something done about it.

Bad habit #1

I procrastinate. Thus, I don't blog enough. I am and was SO inspired by Erick and Jalna but I guess NOT enough to keep my OWN blog up. I hope to blog at LEAST 1x a week from today on.
Another way this shows up is my laundry. I don't put clothes away after doing the laundry.

Bad habit #2

I'm a pack rat.

The photo speaks for itself. Yes, it's the SAME room you saw a few posts ago!

Bad habit #3

I'm messy and unorganized. Take a look at my kitchen!

We just had a speaker, Ruth Wong, come and talk to us about organizing our lives. She shared some REALLY good tips. I'll be sharing a few as the weeks go by. Hopefully, she will have impacted me enough so that I'll be making some REAL changes in my life so that you'll see and hear the difference she made for me!
